It was still early, a light drizzle accompanied the small steps of the 1st graders at Bunda Hati Kudus Elementary School, Kota Wisata. Yes, that day the children will take part in the MOPD (Student Orientation Period) SD Bunda Hati Kudus Wisata Kota Wisata for the 2022 Academic Year. The MOPD is also attended by transfer students from grades 2 to 6.
Although the drizzle did not stop, it did not dampen the enthusiasm of the children to start their whole series of learning activities at their new school. Moreover, apart from being greeted by friendly teachers, they were also being welcomed by two cute character dolls, Minnie Mouse and Woody. Of course, the dolls immediately caught the attention of most children, and not a few took the time to take pictures with the two dolls.
The drizzle still continued to fall. The welcoming ceremony which was originally held in the front yard had to be shifted to the 3rd floor hall of the elementary school. Quickly, the teachers, assisted by the employees, immediately prepared the hall for the event.
The children, starting from grade 1A, accompanied by their homeroom teachers and their accompanying teachers for each class immediately rushed up to the 3rd floor. Starting with friendly and cheerful greetings from Mr. Dewo (Sports Teacher) and Mrs. Karlina (Grade 2 teacher), The welcoming ceremony was about to begin.
Sister Valent, the nickname of Sr. M. Valentine A. Pawarrangan, PBHK as the principal of Bunda Hati Kudus Elementary School, Kota Wisata, gave her speech. Then Sister Valent wore checkered vests (as part of the typical uniform of SD BHK) to the two student representatives as a symbol of the acceptance of these children to study at Bunda Hati Kudus Elementary School, Kota Wisata. The program continued with the introduction of the first grade teachers.
Then the children returned to class to continue the MOPD activities that day, namely uniform introduction, practicing singing the BHK Mars Song, and closing with a group photo of each class with the two character dolls that greeted them this morning.

Thursday, July 7th, 2022
Today the children are back at school to continue the second or last day of MOPD activities. Today’s event began with a joint exercise, namely the Scout Gymnastics which was attended by all grade 1 students and transfer students as well as all teachers. With their sports uniforms, the children and teachers lined up in the front yard. Full of enthusiasm, Mr. Dewo guided the exercise. This morning the weather was sunny, and although it was a bit hot, everyone was engrossed in the joy of the Scouting Gymnastics. After the exercise, the children took part in a ball relay game to add to the fun that morning.
After that the children returned to class to rest. The event continued with the introduction of the teacher in the field of study, namely Mrs. Linda (English teacher), Mrs. Vina (dance teacher), and Mrs. Sari (Sundanese language teacher) and an introduction to the school environment, namely the Administration Office, Teacher Room, Computer Room, Library Room, UKS Room, Dance Room, and also toilets. This is intended so that children are familiar with these rooms and their functions. Today’s MOPD activity ended with a brief introduction between students.
And the MOPD activities for grade 1 elementary school students and transfer students from Bunda Hati Kudus Elementary School in Kota Wisata ended. Hopefully this activity is useful for the children as their first step in this new school. Welcome kids. Happy learning with enthusiasm!
